For the 8th Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley is joined by Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere for the third time. gamescom is returning to Cologne for the 18th time. In his opening monologue, Geoff Keighley acknowledges that the games industry is in turmoil by nearly daily reports of layoffs and hardware prices being on an all-time high.
