E3 2021: Xbox & Bethesda Showcase

The Xbox Media Briefings have been among the most important dates in recent years for video games. This year’s all-digital Xbox & Bethesda Showcase proves to be nothing less.

The amount of games being shown exceeds our expectations. If you don’t want to miss any announcement, we recommend watching the commentated video of the entire show below.

  • Starfield – Bethesda’s long awaited sci-fi RPG is set to be released on November 11th, 2022 exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC (including Xbox Game Pass). The first video footage showed a pre-rendered rocket launch. For now Bethesda keeps us wondering how the actual game will look like.
  • S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl by GSC Gameworld is supposed to be released on April 28th, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S und PC (including Xbox Game Pass). The gameplay shown included some fights in the zone with an electric rifle and the stalkers chilling at a campfire at what’s probably the deadliest place on earth.
  • Back 4 Blood will be part of Xbox Game Pass on Day One, which is October 12, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC as well as PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
  • Contraband looks to be an upcoming co-op open-world heist game which is console exclusive at launch for Xbox Series X|S and also coming to PC as well as Xbox Game Pass.
  • Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life starring none other than Pirates of the Caribbean’s Captain Jack Sparrow in an all-new story campaign will be released on June 22nd, 2021. soll am 22. Juni gratis Sea of Thieves hinzugefügt.
  • Yakuza: Like A Dragon is now available on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
  • Battlefield 2042’s first gameplay demo after its reveal on Wednesday featured the AH-64GX Apache Warchief helicopter, the M1A5 tank and the MV-38 Condor jet trying to fight off a giant hurricane.   • Psychonauts 2’s release date was also announced: It’ll be available from August 25th, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, included on Xbox Game Pass.
  • The following 10 Bethesda games are now part of Xbox Game Pass: Arx Fatalis, Dishonored. Death of the Outsider, Doom, Doom Eternal (Id’s first-person-shooter features a brand-new 60 FPS/Raytracing mode, a 4K mode and a performance mode with up to 120 FPS), The Evil Within 2, Rage, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Fallout 3.   • Fallout 76: Expeditions: The Pitt was teased for a 2022 release. Fallout 76 players will leave the Appalachian mountain for the first time. Fallout 76: Steel Reign‘s release is much closer: July 7th, 2021. It’ll feature new quests, locations and gear, as expected.
  • The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood was released on June 8th, 2021. The MMORPG was optimized for Xbox Series X|S.
  • Party Animals looks like Gang Beasts with Furries. It’s scheduled to hit Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass, in 2022.
  • Hades will be part of Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC from August 13th, 2021. A retail launch for Xbox is planned for the same day.
  • War of the Worlds inspired Dystopian narrative sci-fi action adventure Somerville was announced for a 2022 release for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC incl. Xbox Game Pass.
  • Halo Infinite hasn’t received an official release date, other than “This holiday season.” Zero G Master Chief and Cortana as well as first multiplayer footage look promising.
  • Diablo 2: Resurrected, the cult-RPG’s highly anticapated remaster featuring 8 player co-op and up to 60 FPS and 4K visuals on Xbox Series X|S, will be released on September 23rd, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
  • A Plague Tale: Requiem is the sequel of Asobo Studio’s smash hit A Plague Tale: Innocence (watch our full Let’s Play here). It scheduled to launch in 2022 for Xbox Series X|S and PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass). No word on a PS5 version yet. The teaser trailer included Hugo de Rune in a Mediterranean setting.
  • Update 14.06.2021 13:32: Focus Home Interactive will publish A Plague Tale: Innocence for PS5 and Switch (via Cloud Gaming) as well.
  • Far Cry 6 gives you a lot of different tools to take down enemy outposts, such as commanding angry roosters. The game is scheduled to be released on Oktober 7th, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
  • Slime Rancher 2 will be one of many console launch exclusives Microsoft announced today. The colorful sequel to the smash is supposed to launch in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
  • Shredders is a realistic snowboard simulation coming to Xbox Series X|S (incl. Xbox Game Pass) this December.
  • Atomic Heart crosses Eurodance with 80’s sci-fi. It’ll be released on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass) as well as PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 at a not yet revealed point in time.
  • Replaced is a first-person-puzzler by Sad Cat Studios for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass) with a 2022 launch window.
  • Grounded is set to receive The Shroom & Doom Update on June, 30th 2021.
  • An Xbox version of Among Us is “coming soon.”
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (2022) and the newly announced spin-off Eiyuden Chronicle Rising (2023) are in development for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
  • Neon Giant’s The Ascent received a July 29th, 2021 release date for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass).
  • PC Strategy fans rejoice: Age of Empires 4 by Relic Entertainment (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War) is coming your way on October 28th, 2021. It’ll be included in Xbox Game Pass.
  • Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2 is in development for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The charming teaser gave away no further info whatsoever.
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator will conquer the skies on July 27th, 2021 on Xbox Series X|S. Similiar to the PC version the console port will be part of Xbox Game Pass.
  • Turn 10 Studios announced Forza Horizon 5 which allow you to explore Mexico in a seemingly unprecedented way. It’ll be released on November 9th, 2021 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass).
  • Vampires: Harvey Smith lead Arkane Austin revealed their upcoming open-world co-op shooter Redfall which is supposed to be released in the summer of 2022 for Xbox Series X|S und PC (incl. Xbox Game Pass).
